Produktbeschreibung
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Waheed Omer or Wahid Omar (born March 1978) is the official spokesperson to the President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai. He was previously the communications director for Karzai''s reelection campaign in 2009. During the electoral campaign and the aftermath of the election he was often seen as Karzai''s one-man frontline. Both President Karzai''s supporters as well as his opponents recognized Waheed Omer''s rhetorical eloquence, civil debate skills of international standard, his equal fluency in Pashto as well as Dari, and his media-management skills as one of President Karzai''s strongest weapon. Prior to his stint as Campaign Spokesperson, Omer was the founding director of the Government Media and Information Center, formed in 2009 to oversee strategic communications between the government, Afghan citizens, and the international community. GMIC has been regarded by the International community in Afghanistan as an institution of highest international standards. Since its founding, it has been tremendously instrumental in presenting a cohesive voice of the Afghan government.
